A near-completed natural gas pipeline in central Mexico has been abandoned after opposition from local communities.
It recently emerged that an international arbitration court had ordered the state power company to pay $100 million in compensation and costs to Atco, the Canadian firm behind the Ramal Tula project back in 2021, according to anonymous sources quoted by the Reuters news agency.
