Citizens of Cyprus are calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, writes Richard Matoušek.
Since October, streets world-over have filled with protestors calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, often pressuring their own governments.
Cyprus is no exception. ‘The protests across Cyprus are unprecedented,’ explains Natalia Olivia, an organiser for the Cypriot advocacy group United for Palestine. ‘I’ve never seen people unify over a foreign affair as much.’
