For Dafna Talmor, an artist based in London, taking a photograph is like crossing a threshold; an attempt to confront the inevitability of leaving and forgetting. ‘That’s where it really starts, this whole fascination with the dimension beyond the photographic frame, its limitations.’
Talmor’s practice has moved from the taking of portraits to the taking of landscapes, beginning first with a series of images that documented multiple locations of personal significance.
