MUSIC: The marvellous Peggy Seeger is 79 this year, but judging by Everything Changes (Signet/Red Grape) the folk singer and activist shows no sign of slowing down. This stirring album brims with a radical energy that can only illuminate.
In the centenary year of the outbreak of World War One Coope Boyes & Simpson’s In Flanders Fields (No Masters) should be required listening. The acapella music on its two CDs grew out of several Peace Concert productions in Belgium and Britain. It is as much an historical document as a tribute to the lost generations created by that appalling conflict.
