COP27 and the demands for climate loss and damage finance. Report by Emma Mckeever.
How do countries with limited financial resources adapt to the ever-more-normal presence of climate catastrophe?
The official agenda for COP27, which takes place in Sharm El-Sheikh on 7-19 November, was yet to be released as New Internationalist went to press. But over 400 organizations have called for COP27 to address this question by adding the creation of loss and damage finance as a key demand.
