Against the backdrop of Argentina’s decades of brutal dictatorship, a powerful family controls the Order, a demonic cult determined to learn from the Darkness how to conquer death. But the Darkness is a capricious god, and requires sacrifice, torture and a powerful medium to commune with it.
Juan is that unhappy medium, whose life is destroyed by the demands of the Order and the rituals he is forced to undertake. As his precarious health worsens, he is determined to protect his son Gaspar from inheriting this burden, whatever the cost.
