On 16 February Palestinian cartoonist Mohammad Saba’aneh was detained by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at the Karame border between the West Bank and Jordan, where he had been attending a conference at the Arab American University in Amman. On 28 February an Israeli court extended his detention for nine days. When we went to press in early March he was still being held without charge or access to a lawyer.
