Ghana has accused a British recycling firm of illegally dumping electronic waste. Late last year, authorities in Ghana’s capital city, Accra, seized 135 used fridges, the latest in a series of electrical waste shipments to arrive in the city.
Victor Owusu, spokesperson for Ghana’s authority and energy commission, claimed British recycling company Environcom is responsible for dumping a total of 4,000 used fridges in the area.
