In late September 2024, a small group of people chained themselves to the entrance of the Chevron offices in Herzliya, a city in the north of Tel Aviv district, blocking the lobby of the oil and gas giant for around an hour. Their demand? For Chevron to ‘stop fuelling genocide and apartheid’.

The activists were joining a global week of action against the company, called by the Palestinian Boycott Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, over Chevron’s role as the ‘main international actor extracting fossil gas claimed by Israel in the Eastern Mediterranean’.1
