With the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, President Trump’s viral incantations of ‘the Chinese virus’ became impossible to escape.
Unsatisfied with spurring anti-Chinese racism in the service of geopolitics, a recent investigation has revealed that the Pentagon chose to grossly jeopardise public health to the same ends through a covert campaign to denounce ‘the Chinese vaccine’.
