Two major international rulings due this year could give a boost to communities pursuing climate justice through the courts.
John Mussington and Jacklyn Frank achieved an important victory in 2024. The two Barbudan land defenders won the legal right to challenge the building of an airport near their homes, bringing a long-running struggle against corporate development on the Caribbean island to a whole new level.1
