What would you do if you were accused of terrorism? asks Ben Smoke.
For many of us it’s a question that once seemed so utterly farcical as to not be worth asking. That it’s not anymore speaks volumes.
On 28 March 2017 I was one of 15 people who broke into Stansted Airport, outside London, with the intention of stopping a charter flight due to violently deport around 60 people to Nigeria, Ghana and Sierra Leone. Several people on the flight were at risk of immediate danger of persecution, trafficking, violence or death were they to be sent to these countries.
