It's time for the nation to shake off its lethargy, says Wame Molefhe.
‘His Excellency the President has left State House. He will be arriving shortly. Please stand to welcome him.’
The announcement sent ripples of excitement through the National Stadium; from the central stand that was shaded from the sun, through the uncovered stands, to us schoolchildren who were sitting, cross-legged on the ground, under the sun. We stood to wait a few more minutes and our patience was finally rewarded.
