The 9 October ceasefire offered a brief but welcome respite for the people of Gaza, after two years of relentless Israeli bombardment and deliberate starvation campaigns.

This has been an assault which has been recognized as a genocide by international legal bodies, human rights organizations and most importantly by the very people it has been inflicted on. It also remains uncertain whether the ceasefire will hold – or what the near future will entail for Palestinians in Gaza and beyond.
